Driving Instructor Training.                                                                                   

As an ORDIT registered Instructor Trainer of over 13 years, I can support you in becoming a fully qualified driving instructor by offering comprehensive training in parts 1, 2 and 3.

Theory; (Part 1)

There are 25 questions in each of these 4 categories:

  • Road procedure.
  • Traffic signs and signals, car control, pedestrians and mechanical knowledge.
  • Driving test, disabilities, and the law.
  • Publication and instructional techniques.
You have 90 minutes to complete this part of the test and the pass mark is, an overall score of at least 85 out of 100 with at least 20 out of 25 in each of the 4 categories of questions.

Hazard Perception; (Part 1 )

You will watch 14 video clips. The clips feature everyday road scenes and contain at least 1 'developing hazard'.  One of the clips will contain 2 developing hazards.

You will score between 0 -5 points for spotting the developing hazards as soon as they start to happen. To achieve a high score, click the mouse as soon as you see the hazard starting to develop.

The pass mark is 57 out of a possible 75. You must pass both the Theory and Hazard perception at the same time to complete part 1. There is no restriction on the number of attempts.

Driving Ability Test (Part 2), in car.

To pass this test you must be able to :

  • Drive to a high standard.
  • Drive safely in different road and traffic conditions.
  • Show that you know The Highway Code by the way that you drive.
The' National standards for driving cars ' tells you everything you must be able to do to pass the test. The Pass mark is no more than 6 driving faults. Only 3 attempts are allowed.

Instructional Ability Test (Part3). In car with a student.

This is a test of your ability to teach pupils. You need to deliver a client-centered lesson of your choice to a student while being observed by an examiner for about 45 minutes. 

The pass mark is 31 out of a possible 51 for a grade B; or 42 out of a possible 51 for a grade A. Only 3 attempts are allowed.
